Ode to Jazz
Visual Homage
I designed, storyboarded, and animated this visual homage to 1920s jazz.

Concept
I want to create a visual ode to 1920s jazz and culture. My goal is to capture the excitement of the music and time period through motion, dynamic transitions, and visual style.

Art Deco, Encyclopaedia Britannica:
“Art Deco is a popular design style of the 1920s and
’30s characterized especially by sleek geometric or
stylized forms and by the use of man-made materials.
...Art Deco objects often showcase simple, clean
shapes, usually with a “streamlined” look; ornament
that is geometric or stylized from representational
forms such as florals, animals, and sunrays.”
Visual Inspiration: Art Deco Posters
- Clean lines
- Color Gradients
- Vector images with noise/vintage look
